Punernava:- Punarnava is widely used to rejuvenate liver and detoxify it. If the body is attacked with any of the infection the first stressful part will be the liver. As a consequence, the person will become fatigued and lethargic. So at this initial stage it is advisable to use Punarnava, which helps to restore health, stamina and vitality. This herb can combat the disorders of liver like hepatitis, jaundice, iron deficiency anaemia, anorexia and sluggish liver. The healthy liver even aids in increasing the basic haemoglobin of an individual.
Bhringraj- Bhringaraj is the main herb for the hair care and cirrhosis in Ayurveda. It is believed to maintain and rejuvenate hair, teeth, bones, memory, sight, and hearing.
Bhringraj is also used in to prevent repeated miscarriage and abortion. It is also used to relieve post-delivery uterine pain. The leaves of this herb are used to reduce uterine bleeding.
Makoy:- It is Popular as Solanum indicum is a plant of Solanaceae family. It is a small growing weed like herb. It has amazing liver healing properties. It helps in bringing down alkaline phosphatase, useful in alcoholic liver damage, fatty liver, and hepatitis of all types. It also aids in regeneration of liver cells quickly.
Kutki:-Picrorhiza is used for yellowed skin (jaundice), sudden liver infections caused by a virus (acute viral hepatitis), fever, allergy, and asthma. It is also used to treat skin conditions including eczema and vitiligo, a disorder that causes white patches on the skin. Some people use picrorhiza for digestion problems including indigestion, constipation, and ongoing diarrhea. .
Tulsi:- The traditional use for tulsi is to help digestion and the organs associated with it. A tea made with tulsi is used to relieve stomachache, excessive acidity in the stomach and constipation.
Kalmegh:- Kalmegh is extremely bitter medicinal herb useful in blood purification. In traditional medicine it is used for treating leprosy, gonorrhoea, scabies, boils, skin eruptions etc due to its blood purification properties. Its decoction prevents and treats liver diseases and fever.The decoction/Kwath or infusion is also used in sluggish liver, indigestion, bowel irregularity, anorexia, abdominal gas and diarrhoea.
Bhui Amla:- Tamalaki or bhui amla (Phyllanthus fraternus Webster) is annual herbaceous medicinal plant used to treat bronchial asthma, diabetes, dysentery, fever, flu, jaundice, viral hepatitis and some other diseases. Its various parts are used in preparation of many Ayurvedic medicines. This plant is considered analgesic, digestive, carminative, laxative and hepatoprotective.
Harar:- Harar is used in treatment of numerous diseases. The Anupan or fluid vehicle for taking medicine depends on the disease to be treated. It improves appetite and digestion. It is a liver stimulant and laxative. The intake of harad fruit with meals helps in proper digestion, and thus improves health.
Sharphunkha:- Sharpunkha also known as Tephrosia purpurea or Wild indigo/ fish poison is the drug of choice for all liver and spleen disorders. As spleen plays an important in maintenance of the RBCs. So Sharpunkha is very useful in maintaining normal hemoglobin level and functioning of blood.
